Please make sure checks are filled out correctly, if not, it will be returned to you and you may incur late fees.

Any check returned to us due to non-sufficient funds will result in a $10.00 bank fee.

Payment is then to be made by money order, cashier’s check or cash.

Office hours are on Wednesdays 9am-1pm.

The Treasurer will also be in the office on the following dates from 9am-5pm:

Please bring exact change when paying property taxes in cash.

When paying by mail, send your check or money order and the bottom portion of your tax bill. If you would like a receipt, please include both portions of your bill, write on the top portion "send receipt" and the top half will be returned to you. If your check is not correct it will be returned to you. Please include a phone number on your check so we may contact you if there is an issue and to avoid late fees.

We now have a locked drop box outside our door for your convenience. Please do not leave cash.

Please pay with a separate check if you are also paying summer taxes.

You will still receive your bill if your taxes are in escrow and your mortgage company will request your
information.

After 5 pm on February 14, 2025 taxes are considered late and penalties will be added.

As of March 1, 2025, all taxes are turned over to the county and are then payable to the Shiawassee County Treasurer in Corunna.  Call 989-743-2224 for the amount.
